Training Evangelistic Leadership (TEL) Philippines
| Mission and Vision:
TEL's purpose is to recruit, train, and launch full-time evangelists and gospel teams to help the Body of Christ fulfill Christ's command to preach the Gospel to every creature and to multiply disciples until He comes.
Strategy:
Jesus stated His Great Commisssion in various ways to express the different aspects of His stratgey to reach the world. We seek to imitate Him in these patterns of ministry as we work alongside local churches to help fulfill His commission in the Philippines:

PREACH to Every CreatureAnd He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15
TEL Gospel teams focus on public procalmation of the Gospel. More than methods, it is a mandate to continue to proclaim the Gospel before men until each one has heard.

TEACH Every PeopleAnd Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Matthew 28:18-20
TEL workers seek to disicple their contacts individually and in small groups and bring them into local churches for continued teaching and service.

REACH Every Place
"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8
Every Christian has a story to tell of how God has worked in his life, and a place of influence among their family, neighbors, friends, cowrokers, classmates. TEL workers seek to reach into various pockets of society through their contacts, helping them to be effective witnesses in their own context.

BEAR FRUIT That Remains (Multiplication)
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. John 15:16
Everything reproduces after its kind. So disciples reproduce disciples. But fruitfulness and maturity require disicpline in our daily walk with Jesus Christ. TEL staff disicple others through one-to-one disicpleship training using our Timothy Training Course. Anyone willing to discipline himself in his personal walk can be used mightily of God to multiply disciples of Jesus Christ to the glory of the Father (John 15).

And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 2 Timothy 2:2

HOW DID JESUS TRAIN EVANGELISTS?
|
"Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach..." Mark 3:14
Jesus trained His men through a simple yet intense method. We refer to this as the "With Him" principle. They ate, slept, worked, traveled, learned and ministered together during an intense period of training. The effect, with the empowering of the Holy Spirit, was that they were trained in knowledge, skill, character, and conviction. They imitated Jesus as their model for life and ministry: Then He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." (Matthew 4:19).
In the same way, TEL Training Programs are full-time, live-in training in the context of a home. Trainer and trainees live, study, eat, work, travel and minister together for maximum impact. Some programs are 3 months, others last up to a year. The training program is designed to produce full-time evangelists and disciplers.

TRAINING PROGRAMS |
| Scope: |
|
|
We are an inter-denominational mission working among among urban and rural populations, students, youth, and children. We work in close cooperation with local churches, while helping them reach outside their own congregations to evangelize, disicple and plant new churches in their communities.
TEL Philippines currently has three ministry teams operating from their respective bases in Manila, Lipa City, and Batangas City. TEL Philippines is a part of the larger organization of TEL International, with headquarters in Denton, TX, USA and subsidiary ministries operating in Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Philippines, and Singapore.
Each of the teams seeks to bring the Gospel to as many as possible and build disciples through various means of evangelism and discipleship in their target areas and to bring the fruit of the ministry into the churches.

Distinctives:
|
|
|
Serving
TEL Exists to serve and equip the Body of Christ in key areas of evangelism and discipleship. We do not seek to build our own constituency, but to benefit the churches and movements whom we serve.
|
 |
|

|
 |
